Welcome to Broughton Community Schools. We are a federation of two Aylesbury Town Schools, Broughton Infant School and Broughton Junior School. After our federation in February 2021, we have continued to build and form one school family across two neighbouring sites with the aim of providing the best all through primary education for our children. 

At Broughton Schools we pride ourselves on being dynamic, forward-thinking and child-centred. We believe that children should have the very best opportunities whilst remembering that they only get one chance at education and we have to deliver this. Our positive relationship with parents and the wider community, including our governors, is essential to ensuring our children get the very best from their experience at Broughton. 

Broughton Schools are classed as 'Aylesbury Town Schools', however, we are located in beautiful grounds that the children have access to all year round. We strongly believe in giving all children great play opportunities and teaching them to be able to take and manage risks in their experiences, helping to build confidence, resilience and communication skills. 

Reading is another driver for our schools; we have two award-winning libraries and all classes have book corners with high quality texts. Alongside this we know that enrichment is critical for children, inspirational trips and experiences are key aspects of what makes our curriculum exciting and invigorating for our children. Fully funded extra curricular clubs offer an extension of this and we have over 20 of these each term for children to choose from. 

Finally, wellbeing and mental health is of huge importance at Broughton Community Schools. We all have a part to play in this and personally I am a huge believer in developing resilient, confident and respectful children. This is achieved through our curriculum and through other sources such as our Peer Mentors, Play Therapy, Nurture UK groups or Wellbeing sessions. Physical wellbeing is just as important and we like to celebrate our vast PE curriculum, from Drummercise to Yoga or trips to Wimbledon and Silverstone, they all add to our exciting curriculum offer. Our two school goats, Tilly and Diablo and our numerous chickens also help with our wellbeing and are a big part of our school community.
