- Count forwards and backwards to 20.
- Recognise and order numerals to at least 10
- Recognise quantities without counting up to 5
- Know number bonds (numbers that add to make) to 5, including related subtraction facts e.g. 2 + 3 = 5, 5 - 2 = 3, 5 – 3 = 2
- Match objects to a number up to 10
- Estimate sensibly when counting up to 10
- Compare quantities up to 10 in different contexts, recognising when one quantity is greater than, less than or the same as the other quantity
- Solve problems including halving, sharing, doubling within 10
