Welcome to Broughton Infant School - a message from the Headteacher

Dear Parent

Welcome to our school web-site. I hope that you enjoy finding out more about us but if you wish to come and visit us you will be made very welcome and we will be able to show you what makes our school so special. Please just contact the school office to arrange a convenient time to come.

Our infant school is two form (60 children) entry and accommodates reception, year one and year two children in a roomy, bright and well-resourced learning environment. We have extensive outdoor learning areas, a dedicated computer room, separate library and a large school hall. With just 180 pupils total we have the advantage of getting to know all our children and parents well. We also have a committed working relationship with Broughton Junior School and the Children's centre and New Millside Pre-School both of which share our school site.

As a school we are particularly proud of our pupils' positive attitude to learning, our friendly, caring environment and our continuous strive to make sure that all our pupils meet their full potential.  We have a very committed team of staff and Governors who work closely together to do all we can to make our school a stimulating, exciting and safe place to be. We very much value our parents' support and their commitment to the school.

Once again I hope you enjoy browsing our school web-site.

Mrs Debbie Standage
